Our very special teacher 200hour training course came about as a result of teaching workshops and intensives at studios all over the UK and in the process meeting a range of truly magical teachers with a huge wealth of experience between them. Disenchanted with the way that many yoga teacher training courses seemed to turn out almost robotic teachers with little authenticity of their own Dan and Gemma decided to put together something very different. A course that retained small numbers of students in each intake and encouraged those yogis to find their own perfect way of both practising and facilitating that journey in others rather than 'teaching' others to follow their instructions mindlessly. A new breed of yoga teacher and way of practising was born!
Yoga Like Water is without doubt one of the UK's most groundbreaking yoga teacher trainings right now. Approaching the way that
yoga is taught and practiced from an entirely new angle, we believe that there should be no separation between 'yoga' and life.
Expect to explore the eight limbs of yoga from every angle imaginable:
'Absorb what is useful; reject what is useless and add what is specifically your own' - Bruce Lee
This liberated approach to practice and teaching attracts both new and existing teachers to an ever expanding tribe of truly inspiring
'yoga facilitators' whose only passion is to spread this freedom of exploration to their students.
The range and experience of the tutors is immense and reflects the 'no-boundaries' approach of the collective.
From Dan Peppiatt's boundless logic based investigations; Qi Gong an Tai- chi inspired flow, the Yin / Rocket contrast of Lolo Lam; sequencing and uncovering your narrative as a teacher with Ash Bond; pregnancy, injuries, yoga nidra and props with Gemma Peppiatt; finding your teaching voice with Igne; exploring natural movement as a human animal with Oli plus Kat Farrants knowledge of the Business side of yoga & unlimited self-investigation completes this safe, magical space in which to discover how you truly want to deliver yoga to the world.

The course is recognised by the Independent Yoga Network (IYN) who fully embrace all styles of yoga that follow the principles of ahimsa (non harming) and satya (truth) and encourage teachers to teach as they feel is intuitive and authentic for them. All IYN training schools are also recognised by REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals). As a member of the Independent Yoga Network you have access to their group membership & insurance. Alternatively you can take out insurance through REPS or many other insurers.
We limit the numbers on our course to around a dozen students.
The immersion covers the eight limbs of yoga, yet also goes much deeper and much further out of the traditional yoga system, whilst still working within the frame work of the eight limbs. We explore how every moment of life offers us an opportunity to practice yoga, it isn't confined to a studio or a rubber mat. We practise a huge range of asana styles as well as animal mobility, organic movement and playing on slacklines to develop balance; immerse ourselves in pranayama and also freediving breath techniques; traditional meditation styles as well as modern bohacking; the course is as organic and free thinking as we hope our students will be as teachers!
Self-guided practices and suggested reading between sessions will encourage you to take your own understanding ever deeper; your physical asana, meditation and pranayama will progress quicker than you could ever expect as you start to really feel your yoga practice rather than 'think' it.
Assessment focuses on understanding rather than recall of knowledge, click to see our Yoga Like Water Assessment Criteria
We already have experience of running two 200 hour TT groups since the first lockdown in March and we are glad to say that everyone has stayed totally safe and felt comfortable with the measures that we have put in place.
Above all else we think that everyone, both tutors and students realise the need to be flexible in these odd times. Our primary concern is always to keep everyone safe above all else.
The following measures are those that we have introduced in order to keep COPID safe:
