With so many teaching commitments it isn't often that I get the time to run a workshop at home anymore so it is a real pleasure to introduce some of my newest material and research in Devon! November sees the launch of my new Online Breathwork Challenge in Association with Movement for Modern Life, so it seems like the perfect opportunity to come and play with some of the techniques that will be introduced.
In this trimmed down, half-day version of my full weekend Moving Beyond Pranayama intensive, we will take as the focus the way that we breathe, specifically in connection to the body and the mind. We will begin by considering whether the way that yoga pranayama is currently taught and practised is actually the most effective and useful set of tools for most peoples’ poor breathing habits and if not, then what should we be working with?
Explore the full potential of your breath and why it is the most powerful tool the ancient yogis chose to work with.
Combining the best training and breath correction techniques from free-diving training, Buteyko normalisation, Wim Hof method as well as breath work tools from Russian Systema to Sufism and Taoism, join Dan to investigate the outer limits of where your breath and the absence of it can take you.
