After nearly thirty years of exploring many disciplines, there has been nothing that I have found to be more valuable than working with the confusion and irritations of my own mind. Whether you call it meditation, mindfulness, flow state or simply being still, the benefits when you stick to the practice are unquestionable.
I have had the privilege to share this work with all walks of life, from 5 to 80 year olds; gold medal Olympians to billionaires, OAP's and disadvantaged youth groups. After all of these encounters I have come to the conclusion that everyone is exactly the same when it comes to the mind. Regardless of your wealth, culture, age or background we all suffer from the same basic anxieties and we are all steering our life in an effort to avoid or reduce these. Eventually many individuals will find themselves at the door of meditation after a long and winding path in search of happiness or more likely simple peace of mind.

Why Teach Meditation and Mindfulness? You can never do this work for anyone else, thats the most important thing to understand. In addition, no-one can know or work with their own mind better than themselves, so there is no point feeling that that you have to! However through your own practise and a common understanding of the internal challenges that we struggle with, you can certainly offer your own experience and a supportive hand as they set out on the path. It is a privilege as well as a serious responsibility to join and help someone along this path and so we must undertake it with the upmost care, if not we can inadvertently do more harm than good. |

This 60 hour certificated diploma course is accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals and offers a mixture of theory, philosophy, self-practice and hands on experience of teaching others. As a specialist course, insurance to teach can be enjoyed by a wide variety of practitioners from therapists of all kinds, personal trainers, life coaches, yoga teachers, school teachers, community workers and so on It is open to anyone with a group or personal practice of their own in any mindful or meditation based discipline, from sitting meditation to yoga, tai chi to mindfulness. We understand that if you have seen the benefits you will want to share this work with others |
Course Ethos There is absolutely nothing complicated about the practice of meditation and mindfulness, however the various schools, systems and philosophies often do a good job of making it seem that way with odd sounding words and peculiar techniques that can be off putting to the average newcomer. We have always believed that your greatest strength when sharing is your own personality and your own life experience. Therefore we try to share the fundamental understanding that you will need, as well as a variety of approaches, with a strong focus on adapting all of this to you as an individual and to the students that you hope to share it with. |
