The beauty of  'Little Acorn' is how isolated it feels from the rest of the world.

Tucked down a half mile long track, in a rare pocket of temperate rainforest next to a wildlife reserve.

Being just a couple of miles from the surfing beaches of West Cornwall it explains why it took us nearly four years to find just the right place.

Little Acorn is a simple spot where there really is space to stop doing and to simply be for a while. The nearest street light is over a mile away and the nearest proper road is at least half a mile.


Groups are intentionally small with a maximum of five participants and once you arrive people tend not to leave again until the retreat ends.
  • Included are all meals, with as much of the produce as possible grown organically on site in our polytunnel geodesic dome and greenhouse.
  • starting and ending each day with an hour long guided meditation or breathwork practice - either outside or in our own meditation room looking over the woodland.
  • gentle yoga and Qi Gong based movement practices outside if the weather allows
  • daily walks along footpaths to local beaches for a swim or a sit​

With all of our retreats, whether standard or silent retreat,  there is zero pressure and the choice is yours - join us for any or none of the practices, eat out if you prefer, or simply come and enjoy the quiet of the surrounding area. If you want to spend the rest of the day simply reflecting in stillness, swinging in a hammock or wandering, then there are plenty of spots in our woodland, the rarely visited nature reserve next door or the nearby coast.


​During the day we suggest, that to unwind to a slower pace of life you don't drive. Of course the choice is totally yours, but we are fortunate to be connected to the surrounding area by miles of footpaths from outside our doorstep, including beaches such as  'Trevellas Cove' with its stunning snorkelling and low tide lagoons; the nearby village of St Agnes with its health food shops, cafes and surfing beaches and the seafront town of Perranporth - all within an hour or so walk through fields and footpaths

Accommodation:
  • 'WUB' our beloved solar powered, converted truck, complete with small washroom, double bed, seating area, oak table and various storage cupboards and drawers
  • Woodland Glamping pod with cosy rugs, cushions and solar powered lighting
  • 6m Bell tent with double bed and rugs
  • Bring your own tent or campervan and a piece of home with you

Facilities:
  • Bedding comes as standard in the truck and pod
  • Shared indoor shower room
  • Composting eco-toilet
  • Outside cold shower if you prefer a refreshing start to your morning!
  • Outside fire pit for late night chats and bat watching
  • Please note that there are various chickens and cats (ours) as well as birds of prey, owls, bats and deer (not ours)...if you don't like animals it's probably not the place for you! 
Included in retreats and training courses:
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner each day (packed lunch if you want to spend the day out)
  • Teas and fruit available all day
  • All practice sessions - meditation, movement and breath work

Extras:​
  • one to ones with Dan or Gemma focussing on individual breathwork, meditation or yoga therapy needs
  • various complimentary therapy sessions available with visiting therapists including various massage therapies, lymphatic drainage etc- available at cost direct to the therapist
Getting Here and Getting Around
  • ​Retreatants can arrive from 4pm on the first day and the retreats end after lunch on the day of departure 
  • We are less than ten minutes off the main A30 road through Cornwall if you come by car - approx 4 1/2 hours from London (note we are down a long track, you can get a car down to us easily enough, but you'll need to drive slowly as it is bumpy!
  • Only twenty minutes from Truro mainline station (direct trains to London Paddington , Bristol , Birmingham and the West Coast Mainline) from where we can arrange pickup or advise on buses
