This workshop is perfect for everybody! From those totally new to meditation or mindfulness as well as those with many years of practise. Exploring the mind is just about my most favourite thing and discussing and exploring it with others is even better!
Having explored the mind, meditation and mindfulness with people of pretty much every age and background, from five year old kids to 60 year old billionaires - I have noticed that almost exactly the same questions and problems seem to arise time and again, whether they are totally new to working with the mind or have been playing with it for ages!
In this half day workshop we will explore a range of techniques and approaches to working with a mind that seems to be out of our control. We will also address the questions that most people want to ask but never do such as.....
The answers to these questions are probably not as straight forwards as you might imagine and in fact things are probably much, much simpler than you think. In fact meditation need not involve any effort at all, it is something that we can do at every and any moment and in fact we certainly should. We just need to know what questions to ask and where to place our focus.
Like any activity it is just a skill and with practice the good news is that everyone can improve be happier, find greater peace and be more content.
Please Note: there will be no incense, chanting funny words or humming as part of this workshop!

- What is the mind?
- Why do I tend to feel so anxious /depressed / lost for much of the time?
- Is happiness our natural state and if so then why aren't I happy?
- What is the difference between meditation and mindfulness and which is best for me?
- I can't seem to shut down the voices /thoughts in my head, they are totally exhausting - I've tried meditation but it didn't help, why was that?
- Ive been practising yoga and /or meditating for a long time now, I may get some temporary relief from thinking and anxieties but essentially I haven't changed. What am I doing 'wrong'?
- Is meditation and mindfulness really a one size fits all cure?
