Of all the things that we work with, working with our own mind is surely the most difficult, frustrating & yet, with perseverance, the most profound thing that we can ever do for ourselves and everyone else around us.
We have all had brief glimpses of being perfectly 'aware'; moments without thought or question: playing a musical instrument, arriving at a new exotic destination, the long distance runner absorbed in their footsteps.
We believe that this state of mind can be recaptured only by keeping running, travelling to yet more unfamiliar places, and learning ever more challenging pieces of music, yet in truth these are just snapshots of what mindfulness can allow us to live like all of the time.
I teach mindfulness to all walks of life and all ages, from the UK's top health retreat, to children in school.Everyone can benefit from a little more control over the constant internal chatter and worries .
With a background in science and education my techniques are logical, practical methods; there is no chanting, burning of incense or playing with beads to confuse the simple results that we are trying to achieve.
I run monthly sessions in our Yoga Centre in Devon or I can come to your place of work, school or group to deliver it to groups or individuals.
