Be Water: Simply Practice & Practice Simply
'Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing can resist it' -Lao Tzu
Saturday 11th May
1-4pm Body Aware Pilates, Ilfracombe
Join Dan for the morning as we dip our toes into a typically playful, Yoga Like Water type practice.
Exploring what it means to simply practice and to practice simply we will look at how this can begin by learning to be intuitive and organic in our practice of yoga.
This workshop is also a useful taster for anyone thinking of embarking on the Yoga Like Water Teacher Training Immersion in 2020 and introduces some of the ever evolving practices that we explore.
Suitable for all, from beginner students to teachers, in fact for anyone wanting to practice or deliver their own version of yoga in the most honest and functional way possible.
Do you listen to your body or do you push on through?
Do you feel your practice or think it?
How do you know if you are progressing and does it even matter?
What happens if Im move away from the 'traditional' teachings of yoga? Am I still a yogi?
A mixture of movement, discussion and quiet sitting, we will guide the liquid body, breath and mind into unfamiliar shapes and places to see what it rally means to be formless, shapeless, like water and how this can liberate the concepts of right and wrong, good and bad that we often carry onto our mats.
£25 per person. Please book directly below:
